Women Empowerment

‘Women’ means ‘adult female humans’. ‘Female’ word came from the word ‘male’ with adding the prefix ‘fe-’ meaning ‘feminine’. It means ‘the male counterpart who is endorsed with feminine qualities by the nature’ or ‘the beings feminine attributes are whose intrinsic characteristics’. ‘Woman’ word came from ‘man’ adding a prefix ‘wo-’ indicating ‘womb’. It means ‘the man counterpart who is provided with the womb by the nature to procreate human being’. It is the distinguishing characteristic of woman from man.

‘Power’ means ‘particular natural ability or abilities of the body or mind’. ‘Empower’ means ‘to give someone the confidence, skills, freedom etc to do something’, ‘to give somebody the power or the authority to do something’ 0r more precisely ‘to give somebody more control over their life or the situation they are in’.

So, women empowerment means ‘to provide the women with their fundamental right, their birth right or their natural right’. It is the responsibility of the country, society, family, policy maker, in fact of every man to provide with the women their natural right, a free ambience where a woman can develop all her natural attributes, can nurture her feminine qualities, skills, knowledge, freedom required to execute her natural duty and responsibilities with utmost perfection; can contribute to the society or civilization and help humans to attain the ultimate goal of human life.

The Sanskrit comparable of ‘woman’ is ‘Stri’ or ‘Nari’ meaning ‘Prakriti’, ‘Shakti’ or ‘Energy’. Without Shakti or Energy this ‘Jagat’ or the ‘Universe’ even cannot manifest and sustain. Actually in true sense, women are already empowered by the nature. They are the source of all empowerment of men. Men or Purusha cannot even come into existence without the help of women or Prakriti, leave alone to survive. So, it is the natural duty and responsibility of men to revere women for their own existence. By giving women their right men are not doing any favour with women. In fact otherwise men will jeopardise their own sustenance. So it is the duty of every man to respect and protect the dignity of women.

It is also the duty of women to strengthen them so that they can perform their duties to its fullest perfection. They should not profane their own dignity and chastity, should not let them to be the slave of men, society, circumstances. Woman should not be enslaved by her own body, senses, mind, lower impulses, desires, personal false ego. They should educate and elevate themselves to such a height that they can recognize that they are the pure soul, not this body, they are the supreme master of their own destiny.

Women, you are the energy absolute. Realize your own power and energy. Attain the perfect realization of highest consciousness. Identify yourself with the supreme divine energy, the ‘Adya-shakti’. Divinise yourself. That will be your true empowerment, women empowerment.
